The journey of faith is a continuous process, not an event. We should be ever maturing and growing in our spiritual walk, and that’s why we offer an exciting selection of classes every week. We realize no two people are exactly alike, so neither are any two of our classes. Be sure to check out one of our elective classes this week!
Post-Encounter
Location: ADMIN - Youth Sanctuary
Teacher: Tammy Strunk
The Post-Encounter class begins after each Encounter Retreat and will last for ten weeks. Before taking this class, a person should have already attended an Encounter Retreat.
The goal of the Post-Encounter is to establish foundational truths in the believers and begin to establish a lifestyle that encompasses the study of God’s Word as well as Godly disciplines that will continue throughout their Christian lives. Each class has a definite format that promotes maximum effectiveness for the time spent together.
School of Discipleship
Location: ADMIN 201
Teacher: Various Teachers
The School of Discipleship is a three level (ten weeks each) school designed to help form your character as a disciple of Christ. Classes include: Biblical foundation, intercession, preparing for the harvest, building your twelve and “gender and age specific” issues. These classes can help each believer to round out their spiritual life to become a “leader” (person of influence). Please check the Church Bulletin for more classroom locations and times.
S.A.L.T. (Singles & Couples 18-30s)
Location: The Gathering Place
Teacher: Jodi & Kaye Harris
This is a contemporary setting for young people who are between the ages of eighteen and thirty. This class will be discussing current events that effectively influence your life. This environment and fellowship will also give you an opportunity to build strong and lasting relationships with people of your age.
L.I.G.H.T. (Singles 30+)
Location: Modular A1
Teacher: Mary Crabtree
L.I.G.H.T. (Living In Grace, Hope, and Truth) includes in-depth Bible study and studies of current topics with a concentration on applying Biblical principals to everyday life challenges. Become a part of the L.I.G.H.T. and enjoy the fun and fellowship with other brothers and sisters in Christ.
History Of Jerusalem

This class will take you from King David to the prophetic future. There has been much talk lately about Israel giving up parts of East Jerusalem as part of proposed negotiations with the Palestinians. Why are these negotiations important and how can they affect Christians? Come and sharpen your knowledge on End Times & Current Events.
School of Biblical Evangelism
Location: Modular B2
Teacher: Jason Wilson
Learn how to share your faith without fear! Learn how to share your faith the way Jesus did—simply, effectively, Biblically. The “School of Biblical Evangelism” will equip you to confidently lead anyone—friend, family member, coworker, neighbor, or stranger on the street—to a clear understanding of repentance and what it means to be a true and active follower of Jesus Christ. This is a place to bring your scariest questions on how to lead someone to Christ.
Intercession Class
Location: Modular E2
Teacher: Linda Roland
Intercession sets a fertile atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to do His work, producing a heightened level of praise, worship, conviction for the sinner and saint, healing and deliverance. The primary theme of intercession is seeding, watering, harvesting and birthing. If you feel like the Lord is moving you into Intercession, this is the place for you.
Through The Word
Location: Modular A2
Teacher: Joe Suter
Through The Word is an interactive class utilizing an expository approach to the study of God’s Word. Class members encourage each other through sharing insights and practical life applications. Learn straight from the Bible alongside others in an interactive, personal-application-oriented atmosphere, as we study verse by verse and grow together in God’s wonderful Word.
Sanctuary Class
Location: WC-102
Teacher: Barbra Lance
The Sanctuary Class is a large group of varied-age adults who embark every Sunday morning on an in-depth study of God’s Word as outlined in the Church of God Evangelical Sunday School Literature. It is composed of adult singles, couples of various ages, widows and widowers whose primary goal in class is to sharpen their Bible skills in a friendly atmosphere. This is not just a “catch-all” class, but is a well-organized group with quarterly social functions.
YoMaCo
Location: WC-103
Teacher: Rusty Colquitt
The YoMaCo Class is a couple oriented small group setting that teaches God’s Word in a prophetic current interpretation. The YoMaCo studies come from the Church of God Evangelical Sunday School Literature. Come and enjoy God’s Word.
