Nursery
(Birth – Age 2)
Our vision is to lead children into an intimate and dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ. The nursery is divided into three classes. The first two classes are for infants from birth to age one or until your child is walking. The third is for children who are walking, up to two years of age. All of our classrooms are staffed with professional, caring adults who provide a safe and secure environment. When you are confident in leaving your baby in the care of our staff, then you are able to worship with a sense of security.
As we hold the babies, we pray for them to receive all that God has for them. We believe every child we pray for will be touched by God. The Crossing considers the nursery to be an important area of ministry, both to the parent and the child.
Nursery classes are available at all weekend services and on Wednesday nights. For more information call Janis Rodgers at 423-867-7287 (101) or email..
Preschool
(Ages 3 - Kindergarten)
Our preschool is divided into three classes: Preschool 1 (3 years old and early 4 years old), Preschool 2 (late 4 years old and early 5 years old), and Kindergarten. During services, your child will be in the care of several trained volunteers and The Crossing staff members, all of whom meet required standards. Our goal is to encourage preschoolers in a growing, loving relationship with Jesus Christ and others in an atmosphere where they feel a sense of belonging. We teach the simplicity of the Gospel through a variety of stories, crafts, Bible action songs and other activities. Every lesson taught reinforces Bible truths.
Preschool classes are available at all weekend services and on Wednesday nights. For more information call Phyllis Brown at 423-867-7287 (101) or email.
Early Elementary
(1st – 3rd Grades)
Kids at the Crossing exists to provide an incredible and exciting environment where our kids can grow in their relationship with Jesus. In this loving and fun environment, kids will discover the love, joy, and power of a personal relationship with God. Our kids will be surrounded by caring adults as well as hear God’s Word on their level. We also have small groups where your child can build healthy relationships with other students. Here at Kids at the Crossing, your child is sure to have a great time and learn about life’s most important lessons!
We meet each weekend service and on Wednesday nights. For more information call Larry Strunk at 423-867-7287 (101) or email.
Crossover
(4th & 5th Grades)
They’re not children and not yet teens. What are they? Tweens! While they are sorting out who they are and where they belong, we minister to the pre-adolescent issues of our 4th and 5th graders each week. Current music, drama, DVD’s and lessons that deal with their day to day struggles are the way to reach this group.
Crossover provides these kids with a relevant ministry, volunteer opportunities, and group activities that are specifically suited to their age level and interests. The Word of God comes alive to these students with the help of drama skits, media segments, and interactive lessons. Crossover meets Sunday morning at 10:30 AM.
We meet each weekend service and on Wednesday nights. For more information call Larry Strunk at 423-867-7287 (101) or email.
AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed)
(2 Years Old - 5th Grades)
AWANA is a nondenominational, world-wide ministry that helps parents and churches raise children and youth to know, love, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
Each week our boys and girls attend our AWANA clubs where they play games, memorize Bible verses, and learn to apply Bible lessons to their lives.
Puggles: Puggles teaches toddlers of the most basic precepts of Christianity. This program includes take home cards so parents can reinforce the lessons.
Cubbies: Lots of fun and an introduction to God's word for preschoolers, Cubbies encourages these little ones to begin to make scripture a part of their lives through parent-child activities.
Sparks: Friendship building and the gospel message for K-2nd graders, Sparks teaches children about Jesus through games and introduces small peer-group interaction.
T&T (Truth & Training): Evangelism and discipleship for 3rd-6th graders, T&T leads children into a deeper relationship with God and teaches them to reach out to others through mission projects.
AWANA meets on Sunday night from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. For more information call Janis Rodgers at 423-867-7287 (101) or email.
