In our Elementary Department at The Crossing, our goal is to teach your kids Bible basics, and also to help them develop the ability to apply that knowledge to their everyday lives. As they see how God is alive and active today, they can more easily share His love with others.

In our Sunday School classes, your child will go through the Bible every three years learning stories and scriptural truths. If they are in our elementary classes beginning in first grade, they will have studied through the Bible twice before they enter the youth group.

Our kids church programs teach children how God lives through each of them and sets them apart in both their outlook and actions. In the younger elementary classes, they learn how their character is shaped by Christ. In the upper elementary classes, they are taught how to grapple with their faith and really make it their own. They are also shown what it means to express God’s love to others in both words and deeds.

Our discipleship classes include Awana, which teaches kids how to hide God’s Word in their hearts in answer to tough questions that face them every day. And, on Wednesday, kids are given their own service which shows them the importance of worship in a corporate setting and gives them the tools to take that out of our four walls into their daily lives.
